This year the judging will be held at the Limerick Institute of Technology in Limerick. The college has state of the art facilities, teaching kitchens, and a new consumer and sensory lab facility. Judging sessions will take place in the Taste Restaurant at LIT.
In the kitchen, our team of fully qualified chefs and home economists will prepare, serve and store the products. They will calibrate the ovens before they cook a single product; ensure all items are prepared exactly to their pack instructions; photograph any damaged or poorly performing products for feedback; and make sure every judge gets a sample that accurately reflects the whole product. This means we are confident the integrity of the Quality Food Awards is upheld and that the awards maintain their very high value.
